From Ugly Duckling to Swan
Reborn for a new life, this residential house is located in Vilnius, in the Žvėrynas district, on Gulbių Street. The reconstructed home doesn’t seek to stand out or surprise — its scale remains in harmony with the surrounding street façade. A new façade finish and the functional adaptation of added volumes create a balanced appearance that preserves the identity of the original house. By using natural-toned clinker typical of Žvėrynas, the building integrates seamlessly into its environment. A newly designed terrace in the inner courtyard, placed beside an old larch tree, connects the house with the surrounding nature.
